Canon 100-400mm Lens - Telephoto lens for professional photographers

!±8± Canon 100-400mm Lens - Telephoto lens for professional photographers

Have you ever jealous? I think that, especially when it comes to my camera gear. I'm drooling for a 100-400mm Canon lens at the time. Tomorrow, who knows. But one thing is certain, there will be something.

But I must admit that the 100-400mm Canon lens was on my black list for a while '. I have some good targets, however. In fact, I have a Canon 70-200mm f4, which is probably my best lens.

Some of the reasons the Canon 100-400mm lens on top of the list of my nextAcquisition:

1 The zoom range is perfect for my needs. Taking lots of pictures of birds, and now I have creative ways of thinking in more detail. Zoom to 400mm would be much better than I currently have 200 mm. Additionally, if this lens on a camera with a sensor picked up as a rebel or 7D, you get 1.6 times the marked focal length (680 mm). This is really great.

2 There is a series lens L. This is the best quality Canon lens group. You can get better picture quality, better design, and other people watch and admire your devices (see story below).

3 Nature photography requires a lens like this. If you can not afford the fixed focal length to 400 or 500mm, this lens is the second best choice. I have already mentioned, the images of birds, but most people do not have to approach and say. "Cheese" We really need a goal can be achieved. So if you're trekking through the wilds of Alaska, or just walk through the local neighborhood, a telephoto lensto this length is exactly what you need.

So here's the story of my recent experience is with "envy lens."

I was driving the right time in the morning the sun work to be perfect especially for a shot, I'd consider. There is a horse farm and stable, that right at the corner where I turn. There were some beautiful horse chestnut tree in the field of grazing on a hill slope with a small barn in the foreground.

It 'was precisely the shot I had dreamed. So Ihas the road shortly after the corner. I have my Canon digital SLR camera from the bag and attacked my 70-200mm on it. I crossed the street and take my position near the fence. I took a couple of shots and score more. I checked to see the rear monitor, as the shots were the result.

Everything was good except I was getting a little 'too far from the hills around the shots that I really wanted. As soon as I could collect on my computer.

For thisAt one point I felt something on my left and glanced around to see another guy doing exactly what I did. He had a Canon and I could see the gray and family size of a 100-400mm Canon lenses. I'm sure I turned green with envy.

We got to talking and he said, when she was under the blows him the courage to stop the same thing. We talked a few minutes, and after leaving I gave the name to see a site where I found the images he had shot,Horses.

Needless to say, I was so jealous when I saw her. I look forward to a field with a 100-400mm Canon lens for Christmas or my birthday or August 12 opening (it does not matter - and not a day). Hoping that my wife just will display a message when you are reading.

Objectives - Introduction to different types of lenses to magnify Pancake

!±8± Objectives - Introduction to different types of lenses to magnify Pancake

One of the best features mirror-less cameras is they feature interchangeable lenses. Under normal compact cameras, the camera lens, and although it may offer various zoom levels, its benefits are limited. In a mirror-less cameras, you can remove the lens and replace it with another one that best suits your needs on different occasions: they are detailed close-ups, panoramic views and super-zoom just some of many possibilities. If you already have lensesHe would like to use, there is some good news: With the right adapter, you can mount any new camera lens without a mirror. If there is a model for the adoption of micro standard 4:3 (like the Panasonic DMC-G1, for example), then you could still use any lens you already 4:03. There is a big plus! If you are not familiar with the world of photography and its jargon, please read below for the introduction of the lenses, which will always help you a feel for the most common terms andConcepts.

Focus

The first feature you should check is in a lens focal length. The following are the basics:

Focal lengths are in millimeters (mm) indicated Some lenses have a focal length, it comes to fixed focal length lenses or first. As the name suggests, the focal length of these goals' can not be set. They are usually found on cameras economic. Most of the lenses includes a range of focal lengths. These models are called zoom lenses. TheThe smaller the focal length number, the greater the angle of view captured by the lens. These objectives are therefore suitable for landscapes. The greater the number of focal length, the greater zoom, and therefore the smaller the part of the scene is captured by the lens. These lenses are suitable for telephoto (zoom) images. For example, the main objectives in the hands of the photographer's football pitches seen a very long focal length, so you take a picture of the distantProblem of how the players on the opposite side of the field.

Here are some examples of different focal lengths:

35 mm View a fixed (or first) with a moderate telephoto lens. 14-45mm A zoom lens with a range from wide-angle (14mm) to a moderate telephoto view (45mm). 50-150mm A zoom lens with a focus on paintings, a medium-high (and therefore unsuitable for wide-angle images)

Wireless cameras are generally mirror the so-called "lens kit" sold. This is a general purposeZoom purpose, and is suitable for receiving moderate wide angle and telephoto images. If you use the camera for recreational purposes, such as photos of your holidays, this set has everything you need. If you want, but for a safari, where you need to go far to photograph subjects, then it is worth investing in a telephoto lens with a focal length.

Maximum aperture

The lens aperture is a measure of how much the lens can be opened. The unit usedtake it to mean the expression "f-stop." The higher the value, the smaller the aperture (ie aperture of f/2.8 is wider than f/5.6). A lens with a wider aperture allows more light and leads to faster shutter speeds. It also performs better in low light conditions (for example in the evening or at night), so that the images are too dark with a small aperture would collect. All the goals, with few exceptions, can be set to the same narrow opening. However, not all are on the same setfar. Another important fact is that some targets have a single light intensity, while the other two. This type of lens is called the target variable light intensity. Variable maximum aperture zoom lenses can, and it is precisely because of its focal length. The greater the focal length, is the closest, the intensity of light. Take for example a lens with a focal length of 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 and a maximum aperture of:

A 14 mm (wide angle) lens can be adjusted up to a maximumAperture of f/3.5 It is 42 mm (tele) Maximum aperture f/5.6

Pancake Lens

Mirror wireless cameras can also mount a special kind of lens is called the pancake lens. This term a little 'funny is the fact that these goals are very much things (like a pancake). The main advantage of a pancake lens is portability, so small that they can not also a lot of size and weight of the small volume of a mirror without cameras. The main disadvantage of this type of lenses is their lack of zoom. The pancake lenses are all primes, ie having a single focal length. If you get a close-up on an issue they just need a way to do it up close, there is no way to zoom. This can be a significant limitation, but it is a matter of choice between flexibility and portability.
